What's Up With Engineering in October

Additional Testing Data…you asked for it, we’re working on it!

Over the past few months, numerous requests have come in from customers for in-depth optic testing data. As part of Engineering’s constant commitment to support customer and sales needs, we have begun a two-pronged attack to gather the desired data.

First, Paul Bliss has scrubbed our files to determine what manufacturing test data we currently have, and what additional data is needed. Paul will continue his quest until we have received as much testing data on parts as they'll provide.

Second, a strong business case was presented and approved for the purchase of a portable Exfo Test Module.  This test module will allow Engineering to generate wavelengths and detailed test data for speeds up to 100G with options to go beyond in the future.  Due to the portability, the EXFO Module will also provide expanded abilities for on-site transceiver validation, RMA verification, and advanced engineering troubleshooting.

Using these two methods, our test data and expanded data sheet library will continue to grow in its ability to provide the sales team all pertinent information needed to keep our customers both happy and knowledgeable of our quality parts!
